Mission

The department seeks to train specialized researchers in Qur'an sciences, interpretation, Hadith (Prophet Mohammad's speech), Islamic faith, religions and Islamic thought in accordance with the highest standards of quality control. In addition to paying special attention to linguistics and religious sciences, The faculty also focuses on guiding students to adopting the approach of moderation and rejecting extremism.

Goals

1 Creating an elite of specialists in Islamic Theology who are competent enough to maintain scientific and religious integrity, and have the ability of contributing to developing education and scientific research in a way that does not contradict with the general legislation intents.

2 Instilling proper principles about beliefs, religion, manners and behavior in students of the department, so they could work and contribute to the community and its improvement.

3 Providing research and specialized studies on the sciences of beliefs, interpretation, Hadith (speech of Prophet Mohammad) and Islamic ideology.

4 Scaling up the scientific level of the teaching staff in the department through conducting up-to-date scientific researches and participation in seminars, lectures, and conferences locally and internationally.

5 Paying attention to teaching methods and curricula adopted by the department and working on improving them according to the requirements and developments of the age.

Vision

Leadership in highlighting Islamic theology, keeping students in touch with the main sources of Islamic law: Qur'an and Sunnah (sayings and practices of Prophet Mohammad) and enlightening them with the moral and civilizational values they contain, using a special scientific methodology to serve the interests of the society and individuals.

About

Mission

The department seeks to produce scientific outputs in accordance with quality control standards in the fields of education, scientific research as well as training distinctive specialized personnel in religious sciences academically and behaviorally, and enabling them to play a role in community service in both theoretical and applied religious fields in a way that reflects the true picture of Islam.

Goals

1 Playing a complementary role along with the other departments of the faculty in order to achieve the message of the faculty and obviously the message of the university as a whole.

2 Having our student graduates prepared for considering religious provisions and applying them in conformity with the general intents of Islamic legislation.

3 Contributing to spreading religious awareness among members of the community as well as stressing the need to abide by the provisions of Islamic legislation.

4 Contributing effectively to scientific research, conferences, symposiums, and different studies locally and internationally.

5 Showing the true bright picture of Islam, and encouraging the objective academic mentality that adopts a middle-of-the-road approach of moderation.

6 Paying special attention to Islamic jurisprudence and the sciences related to it, especially in the fields of referencing and derivation.

7 Formation of Islamic character that is loyal to its religion, country, and nation and that is distinctive in understanding Islam deeply and properly.

8 Formation of scientific and juristic competence of students as well as promoting their abilities in reading, acquiring knowledge, inferencing and inductive reasoning, and conducting scientific research.

9 Providing the community with highly-competent academic specialists that cover the needs of the current Islamic community both within and outside the state in the fields of Education, Islamic Dawah (call for Islam), social guidance and reform, and establishing and conserving scientific heritage.

The department of Sharia (Islamic law) seeks to achieve the highest quality standards and academic accreditation in education, training and scientific research for all the members of the teaching staff and students, as well as preserving Islamic sharia and keeping it pure and safe from falsification and extremism.

About

Mission

The department strives to do its best towards creating a generation that is closely connected to the Holy Quran in terms of mastering the ability of reading it properly, and being capable of memorizing it through comprehensible study and interpretation; a generation that contributes to dissemination of Quran Sciences and teaching its laws.

Goals

1 Preservation of the main source of Islamic Identity (the Holy Quran) in Education, manners, and in maintaining the righteous path of life.

2 Creating a generation that is well-versed in the Holy Quran in terms of reading it accurately, having good scientific knowledge of it, and being able of disseminating it with its relevant sciences.

3 Taking great care of the science of Qira'at (Quran recitations) as well as working on its promotion and dissemination and encouraging more people to major in it.

4 Providing centers specialized in teaching the Holy Quran, mosques and educational institutes with well-qualified cadres who master Quran, Qira'at and have the ability of keeping in pace with scientific development in the fields of Quran and Qira'at as well as any other related Islamic, Arabic and literature sciences.

Vision

Having knowledge of Allah's Holy book and disseminating it to get more and more people acquainted with the knowledge it contains, aiming at educating generations, preserving identity, and keeping the nation safe from corruption and improprieties.
